Born on August 3, 1944, in Long Beach, California, Pam grew up alongside her big sister, Patti, raised by their single mother, Luella. Their mother instilled strength, determination, and resilience in her young daughters, teaching them to face life head on. It was the three of them against the world, a tight knit trio bound by fierce love, loyalty, and an unshakable bond that shaped Pam for the rest of her life.
Pam graduated from Wilson High School in 1962, where during an 11th grade Algebra class she met the love of her life, Edward Doll. They flirted across their desks, Pam asked Ed to the Sadie Hawkins Dance, and from that moment on, they were rarely apart. Even a brief two month breakup after graduation couldn’t keep them separated. When Ed spotted Pam on the Long Beach City College campus, he asked her out again, beginning a love story that would last 63 years.
Pam and Ed married on June 22, 1963 at 19 and 20 years old, fulfilling the simple but prophetic words of Pam’s mother, Luella “Gram” Kearn, who told Ed, “You better marry her.”
Pam and Ed built their life together in Orange County, first in Garden Grove on Cockatoo Lane, and later in Anaheim, where they built their dream home in 1972—excitedly choosing every detail. They raised their two sons, Chris (born in 1967) and Corey (born in 1973) in their family home on Granite Circle.
Pam’s professional life reflected her drive and leadership. After attending Long Beach City College, she went straight to work managing her mother’s store, Mr. K’s, in Garden Grove. She later became the heart and driving force behind Kandi Kanes, where she worked for more than 30 years. As the primary buyer for four stores, she earned the nickname “Boss Lady.” Known for her high standards and sharp eye, Pam was respected and admired by all who worked with her.
A natural athlete with a competitive spark, Pam excelled in both golf and bowling. She achieved an extraordinary three holes in one and bowled in leagues for many years. A lifelong sports lover, especially baseball, Pam spent countless hours cheering from the stands at her sons’ games or attending Angels games with family.
Pam’s favorite vacations always centered around golf whether with friends or her husband, Ed. She loved traveling to play in various destinations including Hawaii, Arizona, San Diego, Solvang, San Francisco, and many other places throughout California. For more than 20 years, she also looked forward to her annual trip to Las Vegas to participate in a beloved women’s golf tournament known as The Vegas Show Girls, where she proudly played alongside women, most between the ages of 60 and 75, sharing laughter, competition, and lasting friendships.
Pam had a lifelong love of animals. Her cats and dogs were constant companions, and even in her final days, her beloved cat curled up on her lap, offering comfort and quiet companionship. Pam also had a love for speed and a passion for her Corvettes. She owned three during her lifetime, her favorite being a white 1999 Corvette she called “Lucy”, a perfect match for her bold, spirited personality.
Family was everything to Pam. She and her sister, Patricia “Patti” Bryant, spoke every single day. Along with their husbands, Ed and Frank, they shared countless dinners, movies, and memories. Pam’s passing reunites her with Patti, who preceded her in death in 2024, and with their mother, bringing together once more the fierce, loving trio whose bond shaped their family.
Pam faced cancer with grace, strength, and quiet determination. She is survived by her devoted husband and “forever partner” of 63 years, Edward Doll; her sons, Chris Doll and Corey Doll; her beloved granddaughters, Kylee and Hunter; her brother in law, Frank Bryant; and many extended family members and friends who adored her.
Pam will be remembered for her laughter, her iconic blonde bob, her competitive spirit, her leadership, her loyalty, and her ability to make life fun. Whether on the golf course, choosing merchandise, flirting with Ed, or cheering from the stands, she lived fully and loved deeply.
