Robin was born July 22, 1955 in Trenton, New Jersey to George and Lois Valentine. With her father in the aerospace industry, her childhood included living in places such as New Jersey, Maryland, and Utah before settling in California.
Robin graduated from Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah. Once she settled in California, she attended Santa Ana College for some years before becoming an Executive Administrative Assistant for approximately 35 years.
Robin has been happily married for 32 years to Paul Hilsabeck. Together Robin and Paul raised 3 wonderful children; John Paul, Garrett and Melissa. The children were everything to Robin! She participated in all their school activities and sporting events. Even up until her passing she would proudly show photos of all their accomplishments. Robin also had passion for gardening, growing fresh vegetables and blossoming the tallest sunflowers in her backyard.
More recently, she attended Coastline Community College and participated in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program after she survived a stroke a few years ago. This lead to her part time job at the Orange County Fair Information Booths. She absolutely loved working at the fair and meeting all kinds of people. In Robin's free time she could be found spending time with her mother Lois who is now 89.
Robin is survived by her husband, Paul; her three children, John Paul, Garrett, and Melissa; her mother Lois Valentine and three siblings; Sharon Shipley, George Valentine Jr., and Greg Valentine. She is also survived by many brother and sister in-laws, and too many nieces and nephews to count.
Robin will be remembered for her loving compassionate nature. She was well known for her kind heart. Her legacy is her children and her first grandchild to be born in February of 2020. She has left such a positive impact on so many and will always be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a donation on Robin's behalf to the Platelet Disorder Support Association or the Coastline Community College Acquired Brain Injury Program.
