

Victor Francis “Vic” Johnson, 84, was called home on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019 after a brief yet hard fought battle with cancer. Victor was born September 29, 1934, in Chicago, IL and was married before Christ to to his wife of 61 years: Patricia Jean, on May 4 1957.
Vic was an Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. He later attained his Bachelors in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois; Masters of Business Administration from CSULB; and, post graduate work in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA. He was proud to serve as an air traffic controller and aeronautical engineer having been instrumental to the Apollo and Space Shuttle space programs. Subsequently he was Director of IT for Fairchild (Alcoa) in Europe; Program Manager with Gentex Corproation; and, Director with Tenet Healthcare. Prior, he was the Founder of Orion, a third party health care administrator and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Ross-Loos (Cigna).
Vic was active in the community having coached and mentored many youth programs for his six childen: Scoutmaster of the local Boy Scout Troop; Cubmaster of the Cub Scout Pack; YMCA Indian Guide Leader; and, Umpire for Little League Baseball. He also served as Vice President of Forty-Plus and a supporter of many conservative causes.
His well accomplished life and contributions will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Steven & Trish (Van Cleve) Johnson of Aliso Viejo, CA; Russell & Lori (Kanagawa) Johnson of Huntington Beach, CA; Paul Johnson of AR; Amy (Johnson) & Kit Bromley of Fountain Valley, CA; Thirteen (13) Grandchildren; Fifteen (15) Great-Grandchildren; and, a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Vic was predeceased by two of his children: Gregory Johnson and Nancy (Johnson) Gardner.
Serivces will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, California 92705 on Tuesday, February 5th at 12:30 PM. Viewing and visitation will take place on Monday, February 4th from 5Pm to 9PM.
