Virgil was born on 8-16-37 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Minnie Elizabeth & Charles Hubert Hamilton. His family moved to Lynwood California in 1941. Virgil graduated from Lynwood High school in 1955 at the age of 17. He married to Lois Lee Thompson on May 2, 1964
Virgil worked for Pacific Phone company from 1955 to 1986. Virgil Served in the US Army From 1960 - 1963 in telecommunications. Virgil was very active in his community; he served as neighborhood watch for many years and was loved by all who met him.
He is survived by his Children, Linda, Lee Ann and David; his Sister Shirley Renk; Grandchildren Chris, Robert, Dominic, Kait, Ashley, Jennifer; various nieces, nephews, and cousins. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife Lois; his brother Chuck; and both of his parents.
A service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on February 13, 2022, at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana
