Adelaida Alcantara died on November 21, 2014 due to complications from an aneurysm in her abdomen. She was surrounded by all her loving family members including her children, grandchildren and daughter and son in laws, when she passed on. She is survived by her greatest accomplishments in life - her four children Allen (Gloria), Arnold (Michal), Albert and Angela (Joe) and nine grandchildren Matthew, Melody, Alex, Annika, Devin, Aiden, Audrina, Ava and Zoe. She took great pride in watching her children grow up to become the adults they are today but most of all, she was even more proud of her nine grandchildren. Her greatest successes in life were raising her grandchildren which she left a huge impression in their hearts and everlasting influence in their lives. She leaves behind countless family members and friends throughout the United States and Philippines. Adelaida was born in Carmen Rosales, Philippines on April 12, 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Alcantara. Adelaida was a very caring, happy, thoughtful, hardworking, compassionate, selfless human being, friend, confidante, aunt, sister, wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was an inspiration for all to be the greatest you could be. She never gave up hope on anyone and she never stopped loving each and every one of us. She always saw the beauty and best in every person and always gave her heart to anyone who would accept it. She has touched so many hearts in her life and I know that they would all agree that she will be missed, loved, and always remembered. We are truly blessed and thankful to have had such an inspiration, role model, mother and grandmother in our lives. We will miss you and keep you forever in our hearts and minds. We will celebrate Adelaida’s life, and all that she meant to us, with Visitation on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd. in Santa Clara, California.
