Barbara Rose Zins

June 1, 1940 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Georgeverett and Gladys Coulsom Helms. She graduated from Franklin High School in San Francisco.

Barbara was the devoted wife of Larry; loving mother of son Don, daughter Lorelei and her husband Tim and son Chris; step-mother of Steve and his wife Llyn, Renee, Kathy and her husband Dave and Rodney; grandmother of Matt and his wife Brittany, Vanessa, Noel and her husband Mike, Heidi, Chris, Courtney, Kyle, Justin and Tyler; great-grandmother to Summer, Hailey, Travis and Lawrence.

Her hobbies included selling Avon for 30 years, computers and her dogs. Gran cared for her two special needs grandsons and later worked with her step-daughter caring for special needs children.

Barbara was active on the Silicon Valley Down Syndrome Society and the Silicon Valley Scleroderma Support Group.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd.
