Beatrice P. Garcia

Beatrice Perez Garcia, a resident of San Jose passed away on Friday after a lengthy health battle. She had a generous, giving spirit and cared deeply for the well-being of her loved ones. Beatrice was born in Santa Paula, CA in 1927 and moved to Saratoga in 1942 with her parents Joseph and Aurelia and sisters Alice, Herlinda and Mary. The family moved into a Victorian home in San Jose in 1945. She met her future husband Daniel (Dan) Garcia in 1947. Beatrice and Dan married on December 26, 1949 and had four children together, Dan Jr., Gloria, Joseph and Sandy. During their 49 year marriage, Beatrice was a loving homemaker and wife, while Dan owned his own concrete business. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Dan; sister Alice Perez; sister Herlinda Renteria and parents. She is survived by children Dan Garcia Jr., Gloria Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Sandy Holguin and son-in-law Tom (TJ) Holguin, granddaughter Crystal Davis and her husband Mike Davis; great grandchildren Laila, Daniel and William Davis, sister Mary Perez, brother-in-law Leo Renteria; niece Alice Renteria, brother-in-law Gilbert Garcia and wife Alice, and brother in-law Gene Garcia and wife Carmen. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5-8PM with Rosary at 6PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, where the Funeral Service will also be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11AM. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
