I knew Chris first through (of course) World of Warcraft, and then later met him and began to know him both as a friend and prankster. When I think of Chris, I usually remember all the times he helped us out in WOW and his boundless patience for us NOOB's stumbling thru the levels, the endless hours he spent, interrupted by the occasional "Hold on a minute" while he delt with something or someone at the counter. 

I got to see the prankster at the annual Chili Cookoff's. One year he made a chili that was utterly insane. It was so hot it gave me an unstoppable case of hickups!!!! I have never had anything I have eaten do that before or since. Chris was kind, he marked it "Not for the timid", but that, he knew was like waving a flag in front of a bull for many of us.  I know a lot of people lost taste buds that night, but to see the grin on Chris's face, I was all worth it. I know Chris is in a better place, one without pain, and we back here will see him again one day. 

I wish peace for him, and all who knew and loved him.

Your my love of my life, we meet over 26 years ago on the first day of 7th grade. We married 16 years later and lived everyday to the fullest.  You will always be in my thoughts and beside me as I go through life. Love you lots you have taught me to be strong and keep fighting

You were my first born cousin and because of that you hold a special place in my heart. I remember the day you were born and hanging out at the apartment listening to storybook cassettes, especially Pinocchio. I also loved going to your ranch in San Martin. You were just adorable with your dark curly hair and little glasses. You will be missed greatly. You are no longer in pain. Say hi to Grandma and Grandpa for me.

Chris and I were virtually born with one another and raised together until I was about twelve and he was ten.   Our journey together, at least as I recall, began in San Jose, where his parent's had an apartment near my parent's home. Our two families were as one doing many things together. We went camping together, vacationed at Disneyland, and we spent most weekends in San Martin when Wally and Marilyn moved their family there.  I recall one camping trip where Chris decided to wedge himself between the camper and the truck. No one could find where he went. He was always crawling into something. We spent summers picking strawberries in the field across from their home, being bucked of ponies in arenas, racing our horses behind their property near the creek, riding our bikes to the private airport to hopefully buy the store, a mere refrigerator, out of gum and pop, and so many other things that are to numerous to mention. I remember Chris liked to read. If you were headed to the bathroom at the same time as him, you best run and beat him there, as he often carried a book into the bathroom and would be in there reading forever.  I believe this is how I learned the potty dance that all kids somehow learn.  Our families were so inseparable that when Chris started treatment at the children's hospital, I spent many hours with him there. I was taught in this time that mighty can come in small packages. What a fighter Chris was. No matter the circumstances or the grim out look others had he always remained positive and talked of his future. This amazing will is undoubtedly responsible for the years he was here.  Sadly our family's lives took different directions and I did not see Chris as often as I had.  I was lucky to have seen him once or twice every five years or more. However, every time we did, it was as if no time had passed and our conversations always held depth, in a way that only closeness allows.  I hate that it takes something like this to remind me to reach out to those I have not seen in a while.  Marilyn and Wally this would include you.  You were second parents to me and I am thankful for the influence you had over me in my younger years.  Chris was always teaching us life lessons so it is appropriate that he should give us one more in death. I love you Chris.  Thank you for enriching my life, and as I have ben looking back on it, I am amazed at how much you actually did, even in our distance years.  You are not gone. You are with me always.

You were such a cute little boy with all that curly hair.  You and Mark were like brother and you loved coming home with me.  You grew into a gentle and courageous man.  Through it all you smiled as long as possible.  I will miss you forever, you hold a special place in my heart.  Love Aunt tish

I remember when u were a baby ,then you grew up to be a man got married . I wasn't there when u got sick but u came thru the hard times with your mom by your side . Now your home with god love you

I have wonderful memories of my nephew.
The young boy with his curly topped hair.  The young boy with no hair, but had to follow me outside when I wanted to smoke.  I told him not to, but he said I want to be with you.  The man who gave me the strongest hug, while in the hospital.  I will keep that hug for the rest of my life.  Love you Chris.
