A devotee of Sto. Niño De Maligaya, Ernesto (Lolo Andres) Lachica, 74, graced our presence on July 4, 1941 and parted to our creator in paradise on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Ernesto was dedicated to working hard to support his family by collecting bottles from the streets and being a shoe-shine boy for a few nickels and dimes. He was also able to graduate and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting and quickly moved along to become a manager of a motorcycle company. After graduating, in 1971, Ernesto enjoyed collecting stamps and old coins and then met the love of his life Adelina where he shared a simple “I love you” and wedded shortly on June 18, 1971. Both Ernesto and his wife started their own family of 5 with their first born Jonathan followed by Cheryl, Jerome, Christine and their youngest Jason. With the will, dedication and support of his family, Ernesto began the pilgrimage to the United States on July 21, 1994. Ernesto was very fortunate to also be blessed with 9 beautiful grandchildren: Chrisia, Marcus, Angelique, Elyssa, Byron, Kalea, Joanna, Zhailee and Julianna. He was able to live a happy life creating everlasting memories with his wife, children and grandchildren. Please join us by not mourning Ernesto’s death, but celebrating his life.
A Note of Thanks: The Family of Ernesto J. Lachica wishes to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, prayers, and all acts of kindness extended to them during their hour of bereavement.
