Frances Mary Flores

Frances Mary Flores passed away peacefully in her home Friday, June 2, 2023 in San Jose with her family by her side. Born January 29, 1923 in Lyons, Kansas she was 100 years old. Frances came to California in 1940 at the age of 17 with her new husband and his family to start their new life together. Frances worked a short time in the cannery but left to be a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, entertaining, gardening and loved being a mother and grandmother. She was loving, caring, humorous, kind hearted, fiercely independent and feisty. She loved you with her whole heart. Mom celebrated her 100th Birthday this past January with her children, grandchildren, nephew, nieces and friends. To see her that day smiling and having fun and even though she might not have remembered everyone they remembered her the love was there.

Born to the late Barbara Rodriguez and James Zamora. Devoted sister to the late Walter Zamora and Delores Abeita. She was preceded in death by husband Manuel Flores of 69 years. Beloved mother to Irene Flores, Jacqueline and John Skyberg and the late Barbara Najar and Edward Flores.

Cherished Grandmother to fourteen grandchildren, Great-Grandmother to twenty-one great-grandchildren and Great-Great Grandmother to seven great-great grandchildren.

You left us with so many cherished memories that will never leave us. Our love for you is unmeasurable and you will remain in our hearts forever. We were blessed to have had you in our lives for this long. Rest in peace sweet Mama. We love you Mama/Grandma until we see you again.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., Lima Family Santa Clara 466 N. Winchester Blvd. A funeral mass will be held at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church 1971 St. Lawrence Drive, Wednesday June 28, 2023, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
