

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal sister, Gloria Azdar, on January 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born in Durango, Mexico, in 1937, to Elías and Amelia Azdar. Her life was a beautiful testament to strength, love, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
A devoted mother, Gloria leaves behind her children: Jorge Montenegro, Romualdo Montenegro, Felipe Jesús Montenegro, Blanca Yvonne Sánchez, Jose Valentin Montenegro,and her late daughter, Gloria Jamina Gómez. Gloria’s nurturing spirit extended to her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
As a sister, Gloria was fiercely loyal, offering support, kindness, and love to her sisters and brother throughout her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she was a constant source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.
For 32 years, Gloria proudly worked as a label machine operator at Del Monte Canary, where her dedication and strong work ethic provided a steady foundation for her family. She instilled in her loved ones the values of hard work, resilience, and the importance of family.
Gloria enjoyed cooking traditional Mexican meals, tending to her garden, and sharing the beauty of her voice. Her elegance, grace, and proper demeanor touched all who knew her. Gloria leaves a lasting legacy of love.
