Gloria Adah Roman

Our beloved Gloria passed away peacefully on Monday August 19th at Kaiser hospital in Santa Clara. Born in London, England to the late Albert and Alice Robinson. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 63 years Mal and their six daughters Claire, Ann, Jennifer (Bill), Mary, Barbara (Mike) and Rebecca. Eight grandchildren Monica, Michael, Peter, Molly, Emily, Charlotte, Georgia and Caroline, great grandchildren Jack and Hendrix. An "Essex girl", Gloria and Mal met in London while he was in U.S. Navy. They married and moved to the U.S in 1950. In 1951 they moved to Santa Clara Valley where she and Mal raised their family. Gloria a happy homemaker loved having her family and friends around her. She was an active member with the WWll war brides. She loved to socialize and everyone that knew her loved her wit and charm. Laughter was abundant with Gloria around. She loved Dancing with Mal at the Fairmont, Christmas, Summer holidays in Lake Tahoe with her family who she loved so much. Very lucky, Gloria liked to play slot machines accumulating many winnings!!! Gloria will be missed by many.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara. For the excellent, compassionate care and kindness they provided our precious Gloria.Visitation will be at 4pm Sunday August 25, with a 6pm Rosary at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. Funeral Mass Monday August 26, at 10am at St Justins Church, Santa Clara. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos.
