Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Much loved, admired, and respected, Jack lived a wonderful life. He was a kind and gentle man, devoted to his family and his profession. An alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley and UCSF Medical School, he practiced as an OB/GYN for 35 years. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, JoAnn, his sister, Billie Herring Guardino, children Cathy Ferrari (Mark), Doug Herring (Kathy), Dave Herring (Beth), Becky LaForge (Perry), and Patty Marazzito, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on June 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N. Winchester Blvd. Donations in his honor may be made to Stanford Children’s Hospital.
