Janice Elaine Heaney

Janice Elaine Heaney (Crumb) 65 of Santa Clara CA. a loving sister, daughter and wife passed away March 28th, 2023 at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center after a short illness. Janice was the 2nd child born to Pauline & Jerry Crumb.

Janice was born in 1957 at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose CA. She grew up in Cupertino and graduated from Cupertino High School in 1975. After high school she did a bit of traveling with friends up & down the west coast. After traveling, she entered the workforce and was a devoted, hard working woman in Silicon Valley until her passing. While working, she found her soul mate & love of her life, Donald Heaney. They were married in 1979 at the Rose Garden in San Jose.

Janice was a loving sister to brothers Ron & Randy Crumb. The Crumb family had a beautiful cabin at Blues Lakes in Upper Lake CA. There she and her family enjoyed all the outdoor activities that beautiful Blue Lakes had to offer with her family. As their marriage blossomed, Jan & Don bought a second home in Clear Lake, a mere 20 miles away from Blue Lakes with a beautiful & stunning view of Clear Lake. There, the couple enjoyed boating, relaxing, inviting friends & family to visit and enjoy their little piece of paradise.

Janice was always in love with Labrador Retrievers. During her marriage she was a mother to 3 labs. Kenna, her Chocolate Lab, was at her side throughout all of life’s ups and downs in recent years. All her dogs were her kids and meant everything to her. She also enjoyed Antique Collecting and was a true Rock & Roller to all Classic Rock. She went to many, many concerts starting in the mid 70’s until her passing. Jan had an extremely Green Thumb with a beautiful collection of succulents on the outside of her property with an even more stunning arrangement of Orchids and other indoor plants inside.

Jan & Don loved to travel, taking multiple trips across the US, to Europe and cruises to the Caribbean.

Jan is survived by her brothers and their spouses, Ron Crumb and Trina Patterson, Randy & Diane Crumb, in-laws Joe & Pam Heaney, Beth & Neil Turney, many Nieces, and Nephews. Jan was proceeded in death by her parents Pauline & Jerry Crumb, her husband Donald Heaney and Grandparents.
