

Son of Alvin and Ethel Kruger, born January 11, 1938. Raised on a farm in Southern Minnesota, attended one room rural elementary school and Waseca High School. Served in U.S. Air Force as an intelligence operations specialist in Okinawa and other far East countries and in Omaha SAC processing electronic intelligence. Worked with Minnesota Highway Dept. 1960-1964. Met his wife Diane from rural Northern Wisc. who was working in St. Paul at the time. Upon marriage moved to Silicon Valley in 1964. Worked as a materials technician with Santa Clara County on Expressway construction 1964-1966 and with the City of Santa Clara 1966-1998 as a Public Works Inspector.
Enjoyed outdoor hunting in the Crystal Basin area and fishing in the Carson River area in the Sierras. Enjoyed rifle target shooting and refurbishing old relic rifles.
Survived by wife Diane, sons Alan (Tanisha) and Darren, grandsons Bryce and Cayden, sisters Shirley (James) Raetz, and Margaret O’Rourke and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, sister, Carol Petersburg and brother-in-law, Dennis O'Rourke.
