Joy was born in Boise Idaho and grew up in McCall Idaho. She was very athletic and loved the outdoors. Growing up she skied, played softball and bowled. She also loved to play golf and in retirement was in three golf leagues playing up to three times a week. She was married to Lawrence(Larry) for 58 years and the two often fished together for trout in Idaho or salmon in the Pacific. Joy worked at the Santa Clara DMV for 15 years. In retirement she loved to go on cruises and spent more than two hundred days sailing. While at sea she loved to go to craft classes and play bridge. She had four sons Wally, Wade, Phil, and Tim. Wade preceded her in death in 1982. She was an amazing wife, mother, and neighbor and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence The Martyr at 10:30 AM on Feb. 22.
