Julio Fredianelli

9 diciembre, 1921 – 12 noviembre, 2021
Obituario de Julio Fredianelli
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary

Julio Fredianelli passed away peacefully in his home of 63 years. He was a month shy of his 100th birthday. Born to Ernesto and Adele (Vannucci) Fredianelli from Lucca, Italy. Julio grew up in San Jose in the Italian neighborhood known as Goosetown.

In 1942, Julio enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a proud WWII veteran. He returned home in 1945 and the following year married Eola Pasquinelli. They were happily married for 58 years until her passing in 2004.

For more than 40 years, Julio enjoyed working in the grocery/food industry beginning at Central Grocery in downtown San Jose to owning his own grocery stores. He started working at La Villa Delicatessen when it first opened and enjoyed over 20 years serving, talking, and joking with customers. He continued to enjoy working with the public at Race Street Fish and Poultry until he retired. Julio was the ultimate people person, always ready with a joke, a story, or a compliment. After retirement, Julio kept busy organizing and cooking for different clubs, especially the Italian Catholic Federation and events at Holy Cross Church. Always the life of the party, Julio never turned down a chance to grab a microphone and sing an Italian song. We will surely miss his laughter, his jokes, and his love of life.

Julio was predeceased by his son Bob Fredianelli (Paula) in 2010. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Ron (Tina) Fredianelli, grandsons Michael, Mark, and Scott Fredianelli, granddaughters Robin (Greg) Palleschi, Natalie (Brent) Lerno, Gina (Matt) Kretchmer, 8 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Art Pasquinelli. He is also survived by his loving companion, Marie Clementi, with whom he enjoyed many happy times, especially gambling trips to Reno and Tahoe. Julio will forever be remembered for his outgoing personality and his love of family and friends.

If you would like to make a donation in Julio’s name, it may be made to Bellarmine College Preparatory or The National Brain Tumor Society. His memorial service will be held privately.
