Marie Edna Lujan

Resident of San Jose

Marie, 90, was born November 28, 1919 in Hutchinson, KS and passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2010. She celebrated 69 years as the devoted and loving wife to Ben, who preceded her in death on January 5, 2007. Marie was a San Jose resident for 56 years where she lovingly raised her children, was an excellent homemaker and also worked at Calpak Cannery Plant #3 for 20 years. Marie enjoyed gardening and making pies for her friends and family.

Marie's greatest gift to others was that of giving of herself; sharing, caring, listening, teaching and laughing. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend. Marie's pride and joy was her family and she is survived by her daughter Priscilla Lerwill of San Jose, CA; son Benny Lujan of Irvine, CA; son Will (Kris) Lujan of Pleasanton, CA; 10 grand-children, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her sister Effie (Rich) Knight of Livingston, TX and brothers, Freddie (Sandy) Herrera of San Francisco, CA and Leroy (Connie) Herrera of Napa, CA. She was the caring and cherished Aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Marie will be dearly missed by all, including her family members that love her deeply. She is now with her husband and at peace.
