May, 85, passed away on Monday. She is survived by her husband, Judson, to whom she was married for 66 years. May was born in Guangdong Province, China, and immigrated to America when Judson came to her village in China after serving in the US Army during WWII. They settled in Los Angeles, then moved to Santa Clara, where they stayed for 46 years. They had 4 children: Dorothy, Judy, Dean and Jeffrey, and 4 grandchildren, Tim, Elizabeth, Liane and Keri. May actively supported many groups in the community such as the Chi-Am Circle, the Chinese American Citizens League, and the Salvation Army. She was named a Mother of the Year by the Chinese Woman’s Club of San Francisco. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 11:30 AM at the Salvation Army, 3090 Homestead Road, Santa Clara.
