Michael Allan McFarland

Born in Oak Knoll Hospital, Oakland. Raised in Pacifica, CA. Served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany from May 1965 to July 1968 as a plane captain and survived the Oriskany fire of Oct 1966. He moved to Santa Clara upon his release from the Navy and started a career as a machinist. An avid motorcycle rider, gun and knife collector, he last worked for Nichols Manufacturing in Milpitas before moving to Patterson.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Thelma McFarland (Robert) of Santa Clara, sister Pat Griggi of Columbia, brother Dennis McFarland of San Francisco.

Niece Michele (Monte) Coughran of Patterson; Nephews Ryan McFarland of Santa Clara, Ron Griggi of Sacramento. Beloved uncle to Grand Nieces Cheyenne Coughran of Patterson, Jenna (John) Buckley of Ramona, Chelsea (Daryl) Brown of Oroville, Brittney (Mike) Hopkins of Sacramento; Grand nephew Jake (Karina) Coughran of Patterson, Adam, Aiden and Evan Griggi of Sacramento. Great grand nieces Lesley and Fernanda Diaz, Jesamine and Bobbi Coughran of Patterson. Great grand nephews Aeson & Halsten Buckley, Charles & Henry Hopkins and Great great grand niece Ariana Cerriteno of Patterson.
