Phyllis JoAnn (Piazza) Gross was born at San Jose Hospital on June 29,1945. When Phyllis was younger her parents moved from San Jose to Santa Clara and she graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1964. While working for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale Phyllis met Doug. They were Married on June 26,1965, at St Justin Church in Santa Clara. In 1968 they had their first Child Micheal followed by Stacy in 1972. In January 1994 Phyllis' first and only grandchild, Niucholas Micheal was born. Phyliss and Doug were married for almost 45 years and resided in Santa Clara for 40 of those years.
In 2001 Phyliss was hired as an as-need Office Specialist for the City of Santa Clara Communications Department.
After battling Leukemia for several years, in 2009 she was also diagnosed with having Melanoma and liver cancer. Phyllis lost her battle with her illnesses on March 26,2010, inher home surrounded by family and many close friends.
She is surived by her husband Doug, Daughter Stacy, Grandson Nicholas, Aunt Josephine and many loving cousins. Precedded in death by her parents, Sammy and Mary, Aunt Jenny and son Michael.
