Reginald Alfred Young

The joyous life of Reggie started in Nova Scotia, Canada; spent his childhood in Lynn MA, where he met his wife Ruth Comeau (deceased). They were married and had four children Reggie Jr., Ronald (deceased), Kathy (Wayne) Sloan and Michael (Linda). Reggie and the family migrated to Santa Clara CA in 1956 where he worked as a sheet metal worker for GTE Sylvania until his retirement in 1982. Reggie married a wonderful woman, Lila Kirkpatrick in 2002 after the death of Ruth. During his retirement Reggie enjoyed an almost daily round of Golf at Sunken Gardens and work outs at the YMCA. He also loved to visit and play with the many friends, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Reggie lost his battle with Lewy Body dementia on December 29, 2011. Reggie leaves wife Lila, 4 children, 2 step children, 13 grandchildren, 30 Great grandchildren, and 4 Great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to say your personal goodbyes at the Viewing on January 5th from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara. A Funeral Service will be held on January 6th at 11 a.m. at same location. A special thanks to Sunnyside Gardens Assisted Living for their care and compassion during the last few years of Reggie's life.
