Fr. Richard Mandoli, OCD, the son of Dion and Eleanor Mandoli (deceased), and brother to Robert Mandoli of San Francisco, was a native of San Francisco, CA, who graduated from Balboa High School in 1963, and San Francisco State University in 1967. After graduation from college, Fr. Richard worked for Bank of America for a number of years. In 1986, Fr. Richard, following a life-long sense of priestly vocation, entered the Discalced Carmelite Order at Mount St. Joseph Monastery, San Jose, CA. He was ordained a priest in 1992, and spent most of his priestly years at Mount St. Joseph, along with six years of being a care giver for his late parents. Fr. Richard was known as a prayerful priest, who preferred to stay in the background in his ministry. He will be greatly missed by his fellow Carmelites, and those who knew him.Services will be held at Mount St. Joseph Monastery, 12455 Clayton Road, San Jose, CA 95127Rosary & Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Jan. 9.Burial will be a private service
