She was welcomed into eternal rest alongside her father and her baby sister, Maria Asuncion, who predeceased her. Ruth's life was a testament to love, compassion, and resilience. She is survived by her beautiful mother, Lucy, who was a constant source of strength and love, and her four devoted siblings: Paul, with his wife Lorraine; Muneca, her cherished companion in life's daily joys; Fernando, with his wife Regina, niece, Alex, nephew, Aidan; Tony, with his wife Evelyn, nephew, Joseph, niece, Toni Monet. Ruth's legacy of kindness and warmth lives on in her loving nephews and nieces, who she adored and who adored her in return. For 15 years, Ruth shared her time with her partner, Randy, creating a life filled with love, mutual respect and many road trips to Monterey and Utah. Ruth's educational journey began at Five Wounds Catholic elementary school and culminated in her graduation from Notre Dame High School in 1984. Her career spanned over three decades at PW Supermarket and Lunardi's, where she was not only a loyal and dedicated employee but a cherished friend to many. Ruth's customers adored her and she established close relationships that transcended the typical employee-customer bond. Ruth found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in listening to her favorite music and spent countless cherished hours with her sister Muneca, watching Hallmark movies and indulging in the stories of her favorite TV shows, including "Murder She Wrote," "Castle," and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Known for her gentle and sweet nature, Ruth's smile could light up any room. She was a great listener and confidant, always ready to offer a kind word or a comforting presence. Her ability to make others feel seen and heard was a rare gift that left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A Rosary service will be held on April 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Lima Family, located at 466 N Winchester Blvd. A Mass will follow on April 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Five Wounds Church, located at 1375 E Santa Clara St. The family invites all who knew Ruth to join them in celebrating her life and legacy.
