Samuel Machado Luis

Samuel Machado Luis passed away on December 31, 2022, joining his wife, Leontina, to rest together in Paradise. Born to Manuel and Rosa Luis, on March 1, 1945 in São Jorge, Portugal. He was 77 years old.

Samuel was a hard working man, providing for his family as a truck driver, and later became a self taught diesel mechanic. His love and care for his family was evident, and in return, was cherished and admired deeply. He is survived by his two sisters, Leontina Machado and Mary Nunes. His three sons, Brian, Michael and Sam. Forever cherished and remembered by his nine grandchildren, Ashly, Monica, Michael, Johnathan, Brooklyn, Tyler, Kayla, Brianna and Crystal. Four great grandchildren, Auttumn, Ember, Mason and Opal. As well as his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Not only was he revered by family, but by all who met him, as he touched the lives of everyone.

We will celebrate Samuel’s life, and what he meant to us, with a Visitation on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, California. The Funeral Mass will be held on January 26, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Clare Parish, 941 Lexington St., Santa Clara, California. Interment to follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Celebration of life to follow after at St. Clare Parish Hall. Your support and condolences mean so much to us during this time.
