Shelley Lea Starr

Shelley Lea Starr was born on June 18th 1959 in San Jose, California at O’Conner Hospital. Her parents Nick and Ginny Rangel welcomed her into their home in Santa Clara, California along with her older brother Greg. Shelley attended Mariposa Elementary School where she joined the Brownie’s and Girl Scouts. Shelley also attended St. Justin’s church where she was Baptized, had her first Communion, and Confirmation accompanied by her God parents Rico and Hope Ramponi. Shelley attended Wilson Jr. High School and then graduated from Buchser High School in 1977.

Shelley met Bruce Starr in August of 1983. They were married June 16th 1984 and settled in San Jose with Bruce’s son David. In 1986 their daughter Krysta was born.

Shelley was a long time employee of Pine Cone Lumber in Sunnyvale California. She had many loyal friends at work that supported her through her long illness.

Her father Fernando Nicholas Rangel preceded Shelley in death on July 6th, 1995. Her mother Geneva Aylene Rangel (Taft) passed away December 17th, 2010.

Her husband Bruce, daughter Krysta, and son David Starr survive Shelley. She has a granddaughter Trinity.

Her brother Greg Rangel, his wife Cathi, nephew Lucas, and niece Sarah survive Shelley.

Many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and loyal friends also survive Shelley.

A Memorial Service celebrating Shelley’s life will be on December 3rd, 2011 at the Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara, California at 11AM with a reception to follow.
