Steve had a huge impact on my life.  The first time we met is my favorite memory, though we had many that I will always cherish.  I hope our memories  will last longer than time.  Steve you will always have a special place in my heart.

The last time I saw after the years I had known you was a blessing. I had no idea until many years later. May you RIP.  

Our friendship was genuine and true for all that knew.  I will never forget the day we met and the last time we spent together.  A soul tie in a knot ... all the nights we spent talking, arguing, riding the bike, and scurring around in the jeep.

Word that go unspoken speak volume... I loved you too!  Speechless.

WHO IS GOD?

He is Knowable... always welcomes us into a relationship, so that we personally can get to know him. 

He is Approachable.
God invites us to talk to him and engage him in what concerns us. We don't have to get our act together first. Neither do we need to be polite, theologically correct or holy. It is his nature to be loving and accepting when we go to him.

He is Creative.
God has the capacity of speaking things into existence. His power is something he wants us to be aware of and to rely on.

He is Forgiving.
We sin. We tend to do things our way instead of God's way. And he sees it and knows it. God is forgiving and will forgive us from the moment we begin a relationship with him.

He is Honest.
Just like a person who lets you know their thoughts and feelings, God clearly tells us about himself. Everything he says about himself, or about us, is reliable information. Truer than our feelings, thoughts, and perception, God is totally accurate and honest in what he says. Every promise he makes to us can be fully counted on, he means it. We can take him at his word.

He is Capable.
How would you like to be always 100% right, about everything? God is. His wisdom is unlimited. We do not have to update him, counsel him or persuade him to do the right thing. He will, because he is capable and his motives are pure. If we trust him, he will never make a mistake, never undercut us or deceive us. He can be fully trusted to do what is right, in all circumstances, at all times.

This is who God tells us he is.

I did not know. I loved watching Steve play for State. I knew him back in grammar school also. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

The quality of ones life shows in how family and friends speak about him and he of them . Steve always talked with pride for both and without envy . Steve loved being Steve....and we loved him for it.   TheVark

To my friend and boyhood neighbor, Steve, I wish you farewell until our own days come.  We will see you again to laugh and play hard.  A little sandlot baseball, some driveway basketball, or tag football in the streets with down and outs between the parked cars?  Or, perhaps we can jump on the Yamaha and hits the streets?  You can lean over your shoulder and tell me, “to hold on tight,” before you pop a wheelie for a full block while the neighbors stare through their windows? Steve was the classic good old boy,  a man that was big in stature, with a big heart, accompanied  by  a bigger  smile.  When that devilish look appeared on his face, watch-out, something unpredictable was going to happen;  On one particular evening, a keggar party, he decided to throw me in a swimming pool , eventhough he knew I was wearing  my new cowboy boots .   A bear-hug from behind was impossible to escape; and  before  much thought,I was under water and when  I resurfaced, Steve decided to jump in himself, clothes and all.  This was at Jimmer Canelo's home, circa, 1983. I think Steve felt bad and wanted to experience the anguish.    Time spent with Steve  was always fun!  From one Mitty alum to another, I will miss you Steve.  Rest in peace buddy.  Jeff walsh
