St. Leo's and  memories of Mr. Mazzuco go hand in hand. Several years ago while attending early morning mass at  St. Leo's I approached Mr. Mazzuco and expressed how nice it was to see a  familiar face in the very small group in attendance. Always the consummate gentleman with an indomitable  joyous disposition we chatted a while and from then on connected each Sunday mass with at least  a smile and nod.
Though no longer a resident of San Jose I have never forgotten and will always appreciate the acknowledgment of the  kind and humble Mr. Mazzuco.  May he rest in peace and may the family find comfort knowing there are many, many people whose lives were enriched in large and small ways by Mr. Mazzuco. 

Dear Marion, Joseph, and Monica,

I was so sad to hear of your dad's passing.  I remember him fondly and how kind he was to our family, especially my dad with whom he had a special friendship.  He was a wonderful brother-in-law to Uncle Guido and Aunt Grace and uncle to Rita.  He radiated goodness, always open to helping others.  You can be so proud of having such a wonderful father.  May your fond memories comfort you.  Sending my deepest condolences.

Vic was such a wonderful man that lived his life fully and he will be missed by everyone.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was brilliant in his wood working, he enjoyed helping Kris in the kitchen, he loved his dogs, and I know he always looked forward to those gambling trips to Tahoe.  Sincere condolences to the family and hold those precious memories close to your heart.

I have never met anyone who has had a positive impact on more people's lives than Uncle Vic.  He was always eager to help anyone with their projects.  His skills in carpentry were unmatched and he was a perfectionist.  Uncle Vic made the bench pictured here for my Mother after she gave him a picture of it from a magazine.  He was affectionately referred to by cousins as "Uncle Saint Vic."  Uncle Vic was part of the Greatest Generation and he carried that sense of excellence and perseverance with him wherever he  went throughout his long and exemplary life.  He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him.

My most cherished memories of Papa will always be when we vacationed together at Lake Tahoe. Whether it be going to the Ponderosa Ranch, feeding the geese at the Lake, going on the rides or eating at the Forest Room. We always had a blast and we did it in style. Papa you are forever missed and loved. 

 I knew uncle Vic was a very special person from the very beginning. I chose him to be my sponsor for my confirmation in the Catholic Church. He was always putting the needs of others before his own.  I’ll always remember him for his kindness and generosity to others. Whenever my wife Valerie and I would go to the coast ,we would  always stop at San Jose and visit uncle Vic.We have a trip scheduled for the coast this week but it’s not going to be the same.  My wife Valerie told me that when she met him at a family reunion 16 years ago prior to us getting married ,that she thought it was a great catch!  Rest in peace uncle Vic. Miss you already. Uncle Vic was a great man to everyone my daughter told me when the heard about him that he was a kind man. We will be miss from a lot of us. We love you Uncle Vic RIP.
