Retired Lt. Col. McIntosh had a full and exciting life. He was a pilot in WWII, Korean War and Viet Nam War during his 25 year career with USAF. He spent four years with Santa Monica Fire Dept. and worked for Western Airlines two years and FAA as Air Carrier Ops Specialist and Airport Certification Inspector for 18 years. He started a business Mac-Tosh Airport Safety Certification and was instrumental in helping set up Taiwan's new airport in early 1990s. He finally retired with his wife Doris in an ocean view condo in Santa Monica. Two years ago he moved to Princeville on the island of Kauai. He was happiest sitting with Doris on his lanai drinking coffee and reading his paper.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years and three living children Linda (Randy), Michael (Cindy), Randy (Vickie), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His deceased son John was there to welcome him to heaven. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 3rd at Gates, Kingsley & Gates, 1925 Arizona Avenue, Santa Monica.
