

She was born in Plentywood, Montana to the late Peter and Christine Tommerup of Denmark on January 23, 1926.
One of twelve children and the middle of triplet girls, Margaret grew up in a large family and loving home.
Margaret graduated with an AA degree in Nursing and after graduation in 1947, she and her sisters moved to California and she began her nursing career in Santa Maria, California.
She was a Registered Nurse and kept her license active after her retirement at age 65.
Margaret loved her family, doing crafts, watching sports of all kinds, and volunteering. She will be remembered for her generous nature, her handiness with projects and her knack for knowing so much about so many things, her pie crust, her kringle, her sound advice, her loyalty, her strong faith and her devotion to family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila and her grandson, Evan and Sheila’s Partner, Barbara Hament of Los Angeles, California her sisters Min Mayta of Ventura, California, Myrtle Fagnant of Kemmerer, Wyoming, and Sylvia Phillips(Ron Phillips) of Renton, Washington and her brother John Tommerup of Westby, Montana and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends who feel her loss and will remember her well for her strength, courage and faith.

A private viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Moeller Murphy Funeral Directors, 1925 Arizona Ave, Santa Monica, California.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 725 California Ave, Santa Monica, California.
