A very special soul and spirit. I remember her always being very nice to me.

I remember seeing Sumi and you together at Barclays just a couple weeks prior to your loss. It was so fortunate to have been able to share a pleasant "hello" with her, unknowing of the future to come. This is so often how it is, and so difficult to live with... I admire your resolve to continue to live well. This honors her as much as words and memories. I wish you the very best.

My heart is hurting at this news.  Terry & I have been away and thank you, Russ, for letting me know.  Sumi was a very special, giving, interesting, & delightful person.  We shared good tennis times several years ago and stimulating conversations.  I remember how she showed me how to make origami items for our first grandchild's shower. Russ, just to let you know our hearts are with you and family at this very difficult time. It was always a pleasure to see Sumi, from time to time, during our walks. The news of her passing didn't make any sense at all. We'll miss her.

Dear Russ and David,
My condolences on Sumiko's transition.  Sorry I won't be able attend but I am seeing you surrounded and supported by friends and family.  I know the love you feel is extending forth into the infinite presence's of Sumiko.  

I have warm thoughts of you and your family and especially remember being very accepted during my visits and one Christmas morning I spent with you and your family and Sumiko.

I have nothing but wonderful memories of Sumi. She was my role model, inspiration, like a second mother and best friend. I had never seen her angry, she was always happy, gentle, beautiful minded person to me. We went to so many places, taking a classes together and she treated me as a one of her family.
Since I moved to Maui, she had never forgotten to sending Birthday gifts and X'mas gifts to me and my son for every single year.
I can not believe her departure, I've thinking about her every day, and can not control my tears. 
Russ and her family, I am so sorry that I can not attend her memorial service, but please accept my condolences.

sad. I remember she was very healthy and happy person also very bright.

Dear Russ and Family,

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Sumiko.  
I just saw her, with you, at Barclay's last week. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to know her well, however she seemed  like a very sweet and gentle person.

She will always be in your heart with the wonderful memories you have of her.

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to you Russ and your entire family.  Sumi was a bright, interesting, warm, and gentle   lady.  I will never forget her.

Russell & David, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Sumi.  I remember so many good times over at your house growing up and of course always loved her yummy strawberry shortcake.  We send our thoughts and prayers.

Russ, when we heard about Sumi passing we  were very surprised.  Our heart goes out to you and your families at this time. I always enjoyed spending time talking to Sumi.  She was a soft spoken, delightful, and friendly person to know.  She will be in our hearts. Hopefully we can get together in LA this June/July.
