Betty Jean Russell

On Sunday January 17, 2016, Betty Jean Russell (aka MaB) passed away. She was born in Archbold, Ohio on November 9, 1935. She graduated from Sylvania high school and then married her high school sweetheart, Ralph, and they had five children. They were married for 60 years. She has resided in Sarasota, Florida for the last 37 years. She had a wonderful, full life and was the epitome of a loving, supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed terribly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Russell (2013) mother, Fern Murphy, father, Wilson Nofzinger, and brother, Neil Nofzinger. She is survived by brother, Tommie Nofzinger, five children, Debra L Dennis (Douglas), Cynthia L Wanamaker (Steven), Dayton David Russell (Wendy), Mark C. Russell, and Kevin W. Russell (Tracy). She has 16 grandchildren, Kendall Slutzky (Michael), Travis Dennis (Lisa), Leslie Wanamaker, Eileen Wanamaker, Andrea Wanamaker, Dayton Drew Russell (Christina), Jacquelyn Robbins (Kevin), Sarah Gentry (Terry), Taylor Russell, Brandon Russell, Amanda Russell, Mark Russell II, Brooke Russell, Cameron Russell, Ryan Russell (Megan), and Cassie Russell. She has 13 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Annabelle, Lilah, Luke, Owen, Ayla, Sophia, Julia, Hannah, Emmalee, Zackary, and Brayden. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 5th, 2016 at South Shore Community Church located at 1899 South Tuttle Ave., Sarasota, 34239 at 11:00am with a lunch to follow.
