 Obituario de Dona Lee Whitehouse
Dona Lee Whitehouse, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022, at the age of 98. Dona, an only child, was born in Dayton, Ohio. She and her parents eventually moved to Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. She attended Randolph Macon College, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, for several years before leaving to marry her first husband James Murry Northrup. They raised their children there until moving in 1962 to Bloomfield Hills, MI. She eventually moved to Fairfield Glades, TN, following the death of her second husband, Fred Hildebrand. She married her third husband, Bruce Whitehouse and lived there happily for many years. She volunteered many hours at Crossville’s hospital, enjoyed golf, knitting caps for veterans and attending and supporting her church and its members. Following her move to Sarasota, she was very involved in her church, Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, where she was a member for 15 years volunteering and serving the community. She also actively worked as a volunteer at Doctor’s Hospital. Pastor Mike Mansperger was quoted as saying. “She was a one-of-kind person, always with a smile and kind greeting for all.” She will rest in peace, knowing her family and friends will cherish the memories of the many joyful times she spent being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and caring friend. Dona is survived by her 4 children; Greg (Birgit), Pamela (Jim), Randy and Tim (Tareena); 8 grandchildren: Kristopher (Katrina), Jill (Darren), Scott (Michaela), Megen (Maggie), Justin, Brittney, John, and TJ; 12 great-grandchildren: Madison, Jake, Kellan, Olivia, Jack, Lilah, Lucille, Jordan, River, Noah, Eli, and Owen.
