Donald Casper, 89, passed away at his home on Friday, July 29, 2016 from a brain tumor. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a retired Detroit Police Officer. He leaves his loving wife, Joyce Casper of Bradenton, Florida; 5 children; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brother, Marvin Nabozny. He and his wife have enjoyed being residents of the Sarasota/Bradenton area for the past 42 years. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home at 7:00 pm. Private service for internment at Sarasota National Cemetery will be at a later date. Donald was humbled to be laid to rest among the fallen heroes who have served their country with honor.
