SARASOTA, Fla. -- Ellie Jane Bressler passed from this life to take her place with the angels on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg after a short illness.
Ellie was born September 24, 2020 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and was a second year pre-K student at Gulf Gate Elementary School. She was making wonderful progress under the tutelage of Miss Rizzo and enjoyed being with her classmates and experiencing all that school had to offer. She accomplished a forty percent increase in laps completed for the recent 2025 GGE Tiger Trot fundraising event. Ellie loved swimming, riding her bike, reading books, music, dancing and singing, the beach, and playing outside with her brother Luke. She loved to visit our local parks to play in the children's apparatus area and walk the wooded trails. Her favorite saying was "I try it!"
Ellie enjoyed attending her home church at Latter Rain Christian Center. Her high spirited praise filled the congregation with so much joy!
Ellie's long, curly blond hair and her sparkling blue eyes were dazzling; along with her hearty belly laugh and outgoing personality, she brightened all our days. She was a joyful child and will be missed by all who knew her.
A paternal great-grandfather John Bressler (Ocala, FL) preceded Ellie's death. Surviving are her parents Ryan Bressler and Emily Roe and her two brothers Jayden Roe (15) and Luke Bressler (5), all of Sarasota, FL; her paternal grandparents, Tom and Roberta Bressler of Sarasota, FL; her great-grandmother Barbara Moore and great-aunt Debra Cinco, both of Sarasota, FL; her aunt Jennifer Bressler of Chesterland, OH; her uncle Michael Bressler of Cleveland, OH; and many other loving family members in Florida, western Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio.
There will be no public viewing or funeral home service. A 'Celebration of Life' will be held Sunday, April 27th from 2 to 4 PM at Tropical Shores Civic Club, 1601 Livingstone Street, Sarasota. Cremation services were provided by the Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home in Sarasota, FL.
