Jack Allen Branson, 76, of Sarasota, FL, died on Feb. 21, 2016. Funeral arrangements by: Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home. Jack is survived by his wife BJ, sons Steve (Gladys) of Brandon, Eric (Lisa) of Largo, grandchildren Sarah, Bethany and Dylan Branson, Joe Resto, and great granddaughter, Isabella Resto, and sister Sharon Dagostino, of Largo. Jack grew up in St. Petersburg and was a graduate of the University of Florida. As a professional engineer, he worked as a project manager for design and construction projects in the US, Middle East and Europe. His retirement interests included fishing, volunteer work at Historic Spanish Point in the maritime program, and the Florida West Coast Woodworkers Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maritime Program at Historic Spanish Point, Osprey, FL. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
