
Joseph “Joe” Howard Haas, 78, joined his Heavenly Father on May 31, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Cancer. One of Joe’s favorite verses from the Bible says, “For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Joe was born to Lillian Keller and to Joseph Earl Haas in New Richmond, Ohio on December 2, 1936. Joe was blessed with a devoted and loving family. He married his loving wife, Jessie M. Garrett, on May 28, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were blessed with a baby girl two years later, Ronda L. Haas. Joe enjoyed a lengthy career as a maintenance engineer and was a Veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his wife and daughter, Joe is survived by his granddaughter, Amanda Crickenberger; his brothers Donald (Mary) Haas; Charles Haas; Jacob (Crystal) Haas; his sisters Dolores Manning; Thelma L. Clark; Sheraldine (Vernon) Fancher; Geraldine (Virgil) Fancher. Preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Lee Garrett (Elizabeth); Bishop James Garrett (Geneva); Bishop David Garrett (Judy); and sister-in-law Rachel (William) Jones; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life service will be at The Tabernacle Church, 4141 DeSoto Road, Sarasota, Florida 34235 Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the churches building fund.
