
Marge Isban, 90, of Longboat Key, FL was born in Middletown, Ohio but lived in Vestal, NY. She worked at IBM, Endicott, New York and after marrying her former husband, worked on Wall Street where she attained a broker license.They traveled extensively around the work, for his work, enjoying many special sports events. An avid sports person, Marge golfed, bowled and belonged to the Longboat Key Club and Bird Key Yacht Club. Marge lived in New Jersey, Washington, DC New York and her favorite place, Brooklyn, NY, where she worked at her beloved St. Joseph’s College where she formed a permanent bond with the school. A three time survivor of Cancer she never felt sorry for herself. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, driving patients to their appointments. She also volunteered at Sarasota Memorial Hospital over 20 years. Marge befriended children of her dear friends and was generous to all. She had a heart of gold and saw beauty in all things, especially people. Marge was a convert to Catholicism from age 18 and was devout all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Helen Davis and sister, Ruth. She is survived by her brother Howard “Duke” Davis, nephews Brad Davis, Jamie Davis, nieces Tami Fitzpatrick, Patti Hopewell and Theresa Kenney and several grand-nephews and nieces and great-grandnieces and nephews. A celebration of life Mass will be at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL 34228, Saturday October 1st at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private at Vestal Hills Memorial, Vestal, NY. Donations may be made in her name to the Arthritis Foundation or to the Macular Degeneration Research.
