Doctor Russell “Doc” Norman Reiling Sr passed on 23 September 2018 at his home in Myakka City, Florida. He was born 7 June 1933 in Oak Forest, Illinois, to Norman E Reiling and Ann Mayer Reiling. An Army veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict. Afterward, he attended the University of Illinois where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Doc loved animals and practiced small and large-animal veterinary medicine for decades in Illinois, Alabama, and Florida. He was married four times and is survived by his sons Russell “J.R.” Jr and N. Robert, his grandchildren, and his brother Roger Reiling and sister Barbara Reiling Lidke.
