
Born in Evanston, Illinois, to Harry Cyril and Madeline Brink Perry on July17, 1945, Vicki grew up in Los Altos, California where she graduated from Los Altos High School. She then attended San Jose State University where she earned a B.S. degree in Manpower/Human Resources. She loved to travel and became a flight Attendant (then called Stewardess) with Western Airlines and worked there for 18 years.
In 1980, she married, William Douglas Marx. a Navy Pilot for ten years and then landscaper with Vicki overseeing the finances of the business. Bill and Vicki moved to Sarasota in 1995 where Bill worked at Myakka State Park as an airboat Captain until his death in 2001. Vicki then worked at Beneva Animal Hospital for 12+ years.
Vicki is survived by her nephew Scott Perry, wife Rose, and children Stephanie and Blair of Colorado, and her cousin Christy Perry, Sarasota. Her second love is William Burrows of Sarasota, who has two sons, Tom Burrows, Sarasota and Dr. Douglas Burrows, Salt Lake City, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Harry Cyril Perry Jr.
Vicki was a very thoughtful, loving, and special friend to many who all loved her smile, her caring ways and her beauty. She made a difference in many lives. Vicki loved traveling, gardening, musical shows, going to the theatre, magic shows, Disneyland and Disney World. She loved anything on the water, dogs, and especially her 8 cats she had over the years. Vicki especially loved to cruise with her longtime California neighbor and friend Deborah Rimmer and her husband Edward. She was an active member of P.E.O. Chapter CE-CY of Sarasota, in which she had many loving sisters. Vicki was very dedicated to the P.E.O. mission of women motivating, educating and celebrating women. She is also a member of the Sarasota Elks Lodge #2495.
There will be no funeral services or visitation. A Celebration of Life for family, friends and loved ones will be at a later date TBD.
