Aime was recognized for his kind and humble demeanor. He often enjoyed walking or biking around the city of Saskatoon, appreciating its natural beauty. When he was not outdoors, he could frequently be found at the Midtown Plaza, surrounded by his coffee companions, sharing laughter and jokes.
Aime led a very content and tranquil life. He had a passion for country music and taught himself to play the guitar during his youth. Over the years, he would often pick up his guitar, open a songbook, and learn a new tune.
He cherished his family, and they held him in deep affection. Regardless of whether he was an uncle or not, most people referred to him as Uncle Aime. He has left behind countless memories for his nieces and nephews, who will miss his laughter and humor.
Aime is survived by his daughter Barbara (Rodrick) Ouellette, his grandchildren, his sister Simone, brother-in-law Peter Ross, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Caroline (Arcand) and Martin (Lavallee), as well as his siblings Charlie, Adrian, Lena, Marie Corrine, Kathleen, and Irene, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews.
Aime's final resting place will be at Meadow Lake Cemetery in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, where both his mother and father are interred. His last wish was for his cremated remains to be laid to rest alongside his father, Martin Lavallee. A private family graveside service will be conducted in his honor on June 7, 2025.
Happy Memory
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one
I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave, when life is done.
