It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Kuyath on August 21, 2025, at the age of 100. He was born in the Bergheim district on October 17, 1924. He lived a life full of hard work, adventure, and unwavering determination.
A skilled plumber, Albert could fix anything and was always the go to problem-solver. His hands-on approach and quick thinking made him a trusted figure with family and friends. He worked tirelessly all while enjoying a good Rum and Coke.
Outside of work, Albert loved spending time with his family, going fishing, whether in summer or winter, and was always up for an adventure. His fearless spirit sometimes got him into a little trouble, but it also made him the life of the party and a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him.
Albert was predeceased by his loving wife Marie, daughter-in-law Kim, his siblings, and numerous in-laws. He is survived by his children Deb (Ron) Federko, Lyn (Brian) Carduner, Dave Kuyath, Jacquie (Murray) Matieshen, grandchildren and great grandchildren Nicole (Patrick), Reid, Easton, Ayla Spagrud; Alison (Chris) Willa, and Hollis Zoller, Ryan Carduner, Erin (Mark), Mackinley, and Emery Korthuis, Tylan Matieshen,(Danielle) and Jaxson Matieshen, (Hannah).
Albert’s memory will live on in the countless stories, memories, and laughter he left behind.
The family would like to thank the second-floor staff at Stensrud Lodge for their amazing care and attention during Dad's final days.
The Celebration of Albert's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Willows Golf and Country Club, 382 Cartwright Street (Dreher Room).
