Allen Elwood Livingstone

July 4, 1935 - March 27, 2015

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Allen "Al" Livingstone on March 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn him are his loving wife of 57 years, Arlene; three sons, Jeff (Dawne), Scott (Michele) and Brent (Anita); and his grandchildren Torri, Ashtyn, David, Matthew, Kayden and Chloe. Born in Regina to Sandy and Ida, Al is predeceased by his parents and brothers Clayton "Baldy" and Robert "Scotty". Al worked for the University of Saskatchewan as the Occupational Health and Safety Supervisor, and made many friends during his time there, until his retirement in 1997. The best times of Al's life were spent being around his family and friends, and watching his boys and then his grandchildren play sports. After retirement, Al loved playing golf with his good friend Charlie, and anyone else who wanted to play. The Delisle golf course became his second home during the summers, and we have many fond memories of playing out there with him. Al's family would like to extend a sincere and heart felt thank you to Dr. Nayyer Iqbal, the palliative care home care team, and the exceptional staff at St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit. A casual Come and Go Celebration of Al's Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. at Windsor Chapel - Lower Lever (704 Windsor St). In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's memory may be made to St. Paul's Palliative Care Unit (1702 - 20th St West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9).
