Anna Margaret (Helgason) Johnson

October 24, 1921 - November 25, 2022

Throughout Anna's 101 years, she seen many changes in the world. The coming of electricity, automobiles, modern conveniences, all the way to the technology we enjoy today. Life back in her day was tough, but she was always a positive person, made the best of everything and she always wore a smile.

She is lovingly missed and survived by her daughter Helga (Garry) Morisseau, daughter-in-law Lana Johnson, daughter Margaret Ann (Ray) Goodwin and son Don (Marg) Johnson. Sister Anita Laxdal and brother-in-law Bob Sparks. 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna was predeceased by her parents Helga and Helgi Helgason, her husband Fredrick (Fred), her son Freddie Johnson and her granddaughter Karen Johnson, as well as numerous siblings.

Anna was born on the Helgason Farm at Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, she grew up in the area and married Fred Johnson on September 28, 1941. They raised their 4 children in the area. Later their jobs took them to Thompson, Manitoba. There Anna worked in the hospital in several areas. In 1973 they moved to Saskatoon where she was employed at the University Hospital, where she worked in various departments. The last few years of her employment there she worked in the information kiosk. She remained in Saskatoon for the first few years of her retirement and later moved back to Foam Lake, to enjoy her time with family and friends. She enjoyed doing several crafts. She made Christmas trees and wreathes out of pine cones, as well as her famous scrubbies, which travelled the world. She enjoyed all her family and each and everyone were very special to her.

In 2017 she became a resident at the Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home where she resided until her passing. The family would like to thank the staff of the Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home for the wonderful loving care that she received while she reside there.
