

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Haday, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend at his home on December 22, 2016. Bill was born in Saskatoon on January 19, 1932, the third of five children. At an early age, he moved with his family to a farm in the Blaine Lake / Marcelin area. He remained on the family farm until 1959, when he moved his family to Saskatoon where he took a nursing orderly course, which lead to a lifelong career at the Royal University Hospital (RUH). He continued to farm while working and living in Saskatoon.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Onofray; siblings, Alex (in infancy), and Nick; grandson, Michael Mostoway (in infancy); sister-in-law, Susan and brother-in-law Irvin Janzen. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Ruth (Rathgeber); children, Maureen (Pat) Mostoway and Clifford (Cheryl) Haday; grandchildren, Mark and Scott Mostoway, and Carlene and Cassandra Haday; his brother, Walter and sister, Vera Janzen; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
