He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 54 years, Irene and his sons, Colin and Jason (Gloria). Brian was a fiercely proud parent and adoring grandfather and leaves behind eight grandchildren, Chris (Samantha), Jordan (Kiera), Jacob (Megan), Lucas, Bayley, Paisley, Noah and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sharon Bernard (Mark) and Ruth Hartl and predeceased by his parents, Frank and Eleanor Hartl.
Brian was an avid reader, walker and connoisseur of rum. He loved to spend his time outdoors, especially at Candle Lake during the summers and Mexico during the winter. Brian will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
A gathering of family and friends to Celebrate Brian’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church (419 Avenue E North Saskatoon).
