

February 20, 1935 – December 19, 2011
It is with deep sadness that his family announces the death of Carl Hanson. Carl was born on February 20, 1935 on the farm near Archerville, SK. He later moved into Saskatoon with his family. Carl’s love was fast ball and playing and coaching all sports. Carl later joined the Canadian Army, Military Police in 1957. He returned to Saskatoon and worked for the Provincial Corrections until his retirement. He was proud of being a “Saskatoon Westside Boy”. He loved to travel and travelled throughout the world and Canada. Carl is survived by his two sons; Brad (Kathy) and Carl’s grandson Kreg, and Gary (Shirley) and their two sons; Daniel and Thomas. Also numerous nieces and nephews and friends that he will be always remembered by. Vigil of Prayer will be held at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre Chapel (915 Acadia Drive) on Thursday December 22, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 23, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (211 Avenue South) with Rev. Father Steve Morrisey C.s.s.r Celebrating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in Carl’s name to the Saskatoon Cancer Research.
