With great love, admiration, and sadness we celebrate the life of Carol Sherling, who passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025. Carol was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. Born in Elrose on October 19, 1947, she lived a full and happy life and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years, Gerry, her brother Andy, her 3 daughters Debbie (Jeff), Dawn (Boyd), and Kerri as well as her 7 grandchildren Hailey (Andy), Nicole, Levi, Logan, Declan, Kenzie, and Conner. And we cannot forget the newest love of her life, her great grandson Charlie. Carol will also be remembered by her brother Andy (Sharon), sister-in-laws Joan and Peggy and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her lake family that were dear to her heart. She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Eleanor and brother Jack.
When it came to Carol, she was the kindest, most caring and gentle person we knew. She was generous to a fault when it came to her family and friends but could be as strong as anyone when dealing with adversity. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her unwavering patience, compassion, unconditional love and humor. Carol had an unbelievable network of friends that remained for a lifetime. The depth and the magnitude of her impact on others truly became evident when mom got sick.
Memorial donations can be made in Carol’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
