On August 17, 2014 she went to be with her Lord and Saviour. Carrie Prokopishin was born September 2, 1967 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Humboldt, SK. She acquired her R.N. diploma and then worked at Calder Centre for 10 years as a councillor. On September 25, 2010, Carrie married Jim Burton. Carrie suffered many complications after bariatric surgery and her health had deteriorated greatly in the past few years. She was predeceased by her father, George Prokopishin. Carrie is survived by her husband, Jim Burton; mother and father, Morris and Betty Ann Yuzik; father-in-law, Gene Burton; sister-in-law, Sandra Adamson; and her two loving cats, Cole and Casper. A Celebration of Carrielee's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22nd at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St).
