

Kay grew up on a farm west of Lucky Lake, SK. She rode horse back to a country school in her younger school years. After completing High School in Lucky Lake, SK. She attended Robertson Business College.
She is survived by several cousins and longtime friend Helen Bagshaw.
Predeceased by her mother & father Gladys & Harry Henley.
During her life she worked at the Controller’s Office at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Early's Farm & Garden, Coteau Beach as Mayor, Councilor & Maintenance. She farmed with her father and on his passing, she took over the family farm.
Kay excelled at baseball, hockey and curling. She had a fondness for horses and dogs.
She learned to play music by ear and loved to play the Banjo, Accordion and Keyboard. She also sang in the Grosvenor Park Church Choir.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 10th at Lake View Cemetery (south of Birsay) at 1:00pm. Lunch to follow at the Birsay Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Paul’s Hospital or Oliver Lodge.
